    Description

Sleeping Beauty Prince and Aurora Concept/Color Key Painting by Eyvind Earle Original Art (Walt Disney, 1959). "I'm awfully sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you!" says the Prince to Briar Rose as he interrupts her singing and dancing with the forest animals and the Scarecrow Prince they made up. This is the key scene where Briar Rose (Princess Aurora) and Prince Phillip meet in the forest during the "Once Upon a Dream" song sequence. An outstanding Eyvind Earle original Color Key/concept painting of their first meeting. Stunning image, painted in gouache on board measuring 12" x 6". Great color palette! This has a similar look to the Big Golden Book Earle illustrated for this movie. A Disney Legend Inductee, Mr. Earle has hand-signed the artwork in the bottom right corner. Very rare to see the Prince and Briar Rose together in an Earle concept art piece, especially one for such a key scene. Minor handling wear and tack holes in the corners. Very Good condition.
