    Description

Sleeping Beauty Briar Rose and Flora Production Cel Setup with Master Pan Production Background (Walt Disney, 1959). "I think we've had enough of this nonsense. I think we oughta think about Rose and what she'll think of this mess. I still think what I thunk before, I'm going to get those wands!" says Merryweather after the three fairies' initial attempt at making dress and cake the old fashioned way goes awry. This is an impressive pair of hand-inked, hand-painted production cels of Briar Rose and Flora who each measure approximately 6" tall. The two trimmed pan cels are over an original Master production background of the interior of the Woodcutter's cottage where Briar Rose was hidden away. Backgrounds on this film were painted by Frank Armitage, Al Dempster, Bill Layne, Dick Anthony, Richard Thomas, Thelma Witmer, Walt Peregoy, Ralph Hulett, Phil Mattola, Anthony Rizzo and the film's Art Stylist, Mr. Eyvind Earle. The stunning Master production setup is truly remarkable in both detail and design and the background is a masterpiece in its own right. The art is in a a frame of 42" x 19", with a mat opening of 33" x 10". Condition is Very Good and the frame is sold as-is.
