Shanghaied Mickey Mouse Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). "Mickey gives razz with cards-" reads the caption of this original layout drawing from the 1934 theatrical short Shanghaied. This cartoon featured Mickey, Minnie, and Peg Leg Pete and was the first time Billy Belcher provided the voice for Pete. Presented here is an original layout drawing from this nearly 90-year-old Mickey film. Rendered in graphite with Mickey on Blue pencil, it is incredibly details and is an almost perfect match to the final background that appears at the 3:16 mark. Mickey measures 3.5" x 3.5" within the 9" x 7" rendering on 12 field 2-peghole paper. The drawing also features sequence and scene numbers in the upper right corner and the production stamp on the bottom is signed off by animators Norm Ferguson and Fred Spencer. This is a masterfully rendered piece from the development of a truly vintage Mickey Mouse cartoon. Minor handling with some toning and a few smudges. Condition is Very Good.
