    Description

The Flintstones Art Sericel Suite of 4 Proof Editions (Hanna-Barbera, 1993). The Hanna-Barbera Animation Art Program released a series of four hand-pulled serigraphs on acetate, called sericels. This is a series of studio proofs of all four in the suite. This lot includes "The Birth of Pebbles," "Fred's Welcome," "Boys Night Out," and "Working Late." All four are iconic scenes from the early history of The Flintstones. These sericels all have been out of print and sold out since the 1990s. Each one is on a print background for presentation purposes. The entire acetate on each is 15" x 12". The art area within each cel is approximately 10" x 5" to 7". Brilliant colors! These come from the collection of a longtime H-B Studio Executive. Very Good overall condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
