Dr. Seuss "A Man Who Made an Unwise Purchase" Limited Edition Serigraph Collaborator's Proof #9/55 (The Chase Group, 1997). This is a LONG sold-out hand-pulled serigraph on canvas that was created from Dr. Seuss' original oil painting entitled "A Man Who Made an Unwise Purchase." The original work was included in the The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss Collection which highlights previously unseen artwork created for the hand of Dr. Seuss. The original was painted by Theodore Seuss Geisel (1904 - 1999) in 1967. There is a printed signature of Dr. Seuss on this piece. The regular edition was 375 pieces; however, this is a rare Collaborators Proof Edition, #9 of only 55. This serigraph is framed without glass in an ornate frame measuring 35" x 44" with a mat opening size of 36" x 26". A Letter of Authenticity is included. Very hard to find! Minor handling wear. Fine condition.
