    "The Economic Situation Clarified" Limited Edition Serigraph #LXXVII/XCIX (Dr. Seuss/Chase Group, 2002). President Ford gave a speech to the US public where he said "I must say to you that the state of the union is not good. Millions are out of work. Recession and inflation are eroding the money of millions more." Dr. Seuss wrote a poem as his response to Presidents Ford's address titled "Uppers and Downers." His poem was accompanied by this painting that he did in 1975. It is titled "The Economic Situation Clarified." This image and his poem were also printed in The New York Times. This hand-pulled serigraph on archival paper was released in 2002. It was a regular edition of 295 pieces and a PATRONS Edition of only 99. The edition is currently sold out. This stunning Secret Art of Dr. Seuss piece is 21" x 36" with the art area 15.5" x 29.5". This is a rare Patrons Collection Edition numbered using Roman numerals. This piece is number LXXVII/XCIX. The Original Chase Group COA is with the piece. Minor handling wear. In Good condition.
