September in the Rain Thistle Dancers Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1937). This "nighttime in a grocery store" short was directed by Friz Freleng, and released to theaters on 12/18/1937. In the short, thistle designs on labels on two bottles of "Goodol" ("Good 'ol") scotch come to life and dance to bagpipes played by rubber gloves. Here's a rare original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel from that sequence, as seen at the 1:17 mark in the short. The thistles each have figure size of about 5.25" tall, and the cel is noted as 144 in the lower right corner. There is some missing paint on both thistle figures. Good condition.
