The Simpsons "Marge on the Lam" First-Generation Script Signed by George Fenneman (Gracie/Fox, 1993). "Tonight has nothing to do with 'nice." Offered here is a rare 8.5'' x 11'' first-generation script from The Simpsons, Season 5 episode "Marge on the Lam," signed by television legend George Fenneman. This early draft represents the initial complete version of the episode, produced before revisions or production changes, offering insight into the creative process behind one of the series' most entertaining character-driven stories. In this episode, Homer inadvertently ruins his plans with Marge after getting his arms stuck in vending machines, prompting Marge to spend the evening with neighbor Ruth Powers. The outing quickly escalates into a Thelma and Louise-inspired adventure as the two women find themselves on the run from Chief Wiggum and Homer, while Lionel Hutz is left to watch the Simpson children. George Fenneman (1919-1997) was best known as Groucho Marx's trusted announcer on You Bet Your Life is celebrated for his polished delivery and on-screen charm. The Simpsons, created by Matt Groening, debuted in 1989 and remains a landmark in television history.
