Offered here is a rare 8.5'' x 11'' first-generation script from The Simpsons, the Season 4 finale "Krusty Gets Kancelled," signed by legendary television icon Johnny Carson. This early draft represents the initial complete version of the episode, created prior to revisions or production changes, offering a fascinating look into the development of one of the series' most star-studded installments. In this episode, Krusty the Clown faces cancellation after being overtaken in the ratings by the bizarre Gabbo show. Down on his luck, Krusty is aided by Bart and Lisa, who organize a comeback special featuring an incredible lineup of guest stars, including Bette Midler, Elizabeth Taylor, Hugh Hefner, Luke Perry, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Johnny Carson himself. Carson's appearance playfully reflects his famed late-night persona. Johnny Carson (1925-2005) was the defining host of The Tonight Show, whose influence shaped modern television comedy and celebrity interviews for decades. The Simpsons, created by Matt Groening, debuted in 1989 and became the longest-running primetime scripted series in history.
