Offered in this lot is a rare first-generation script from The Simpsons, Season 5 episode "Homer the Vigilante," signed by acclaimed actor Sam Neill. This early 8.5'' x 11'' draft represents the initial complete version of the episode, created prior to revisions and production changes, offering a compelling look into the development of one of the series' standout episodes. In "Homer the Vigilante," a mysterious cat burglar terrorizes Springfield while continually outsmarting the police. Frustrated, Homer forms a vigilante group to protect the town, but his newfound authority quickly spirals out of control. As chaos ensues, the true identity of the burglar is ultimately uncovered in classic Simpsons fashion. Sam Neill is an internationally respected actor known for his roles in Jurassic Park, The Piano, and The Hunt for Red October, with a career defined by versatility across genres. His association with The Simpsons reflects the show's tradition of featuring prominent global artists.
