Offered in this lot is a rare 8.5'' x 11'' first-generation script from The Simpsons, Season 5 episode "Bart Gets Famous," signed by acclaimed writer and television host Conan O'Brien. This early draft represents the initial complete version of the episode, created prior to revisions and production changes, offering a unique look into the development of one of the series' most iconic Bart-centered storylines. In this episode, Bart escapes a dull field trip and stumbles into a job as Krusty the Clown's assistant. During a sketch, he accidentally delivers the now-famous line, "I didn't do it," launching him into instant celebrity and capturing the fleeting nature of fame in classic Simpsons fashion. Conan O'Brien began his career as a writer for Saturday Night Live before joining The Simpsons, where he contributed to several celebrated early episodes and helped shape the show's distinctive comedic voice.
