Scooby-Doo Production Cel and Pan Master Background (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1980s). The premise for Scooby-Doo is pretty unambiguous. A group of four teenagers and a Great Dane drive around in a van called the Mystery Machine in search of mysteries. The mystery they find almost always appears at first to be paranormal, a vindictive ghost or ghoul, but is ultimately revealed as an elaborate hoax involving disguises, holograms, hidden wires, or phosphorescent paint. In 2013, TV Guide ranked Scooby-Doo the fifth greatest TV cartoon of all time. Presented is a fantastic production cel featuring our canine hero as he escapes a glass coffin. This is a nice large image of nearly 9", perfectly centered in the piece. The cel is hand-painted on acetate and paired with a pan background. The background is hand-painted on 31" panoramic background board. The background is from Hanna-Barbera's Wacky Races. A great setup from Hanna-Barbera! Light handling and edge wear. Overall condition is Very Good.
