    Scooby-Doo and Yogi's Great Escape Painted Production Background Group of 17 (Hanna-Barbera, 1969-87). Jinkies! This superb group of painted backgrounds includes 14 from various Scooby-Doo episodes, with lots of haunted castle-type images. The art is painted in gouache on Bristol board. Width sizes range from 12.5" to 17"; all are 10.5" high. Quite a few are from the 1969 first season of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You, which celebrates a 50th anniversary in 2019; included are two from second episode "Hassle in the Castle" (castle interior with crossbow; interior window with torn drapes); two from "Never Ape an Ape-Man" (interior with blue door; jumbled lamp and chair on floor); one from "A Night of Fright is No Delight" (old wine cellar) and one from "Foul Play in Funline" (purple object with controls). From The New Scooby-Doo Movies 1971 episode "A Good Medium is Rare" with Phyllis Diller comes five backgrounds (room with blue rug; exterior of castle with bare trees; hall with candles and covered chair; interior room with grandfather clock; and castle room with large opening), plus one from the 1971 episode "The Phantom of the Country Music Hall" with Jerry Reed (interior room with green walls, axe, and spears), and one from 1971's "Wednesday is Missing" with The Addams Family (open door with red wall). In addition, four are from The Hanna-Barbera Superstars 10 movie "Yogi's Great Escape" (all from the old riverboat in the Mumbo Jumbo Marsh scene with Wally Gator). All have minor handling wear, some with trimmed edges and tape. Overall condition is Very Good.
