Here is a superb color model/publicity cel showing Scooby, Scrappy, and Shaggy skateboarding on a telephone line. The iconic Saturday morning Great Dane was the creation of legendary character designer and animator, Iwao Takamoto (1925 – 2007). Studio color models can also be used for press kit materials and consumer products items like children's books, calendars, clothing designs, and toys. The artwork was hand-painted on 12 field acetate at Hanna-Barbera's ink and paint department. Hand-signed by Bill Hanna (1910 – 2001) and Joe Barbera (1911 – 2006). The cel is paired with a hand-painted Master background from The Tom and Jerry Show another Hanna-Barbera series they did for MGM. A fantastic setup that works! Condition is Very Good.
