Schoolhouse Rock "Conjunction Junction" Production Cel and Drawing Group of 9 (ABC, 1973). "Conjunction Junction... what's your function?" One of the most memorable and most-loved of the entire ground-breaking Schoolhouse Rock series, "Conjunction Junction" is so catchy that it will get stuck in your head. In fact, you are probably singing it right now! The series was created by David McCall and sold to ABC in 1973. It stayed on the air for 12 years. This episode was directed by Jack Sheldon. The engineer from the episode appears on these three hand-painted cels with their matching numbered graphite animation drawings. He measures 2" tall in one, 1" tall in the framed one, and a quarter-inch in the long-shot. The cels are placed on printed backgrounds for presentation purposes. The long-shot cel is signed by Bob Dorough, who wrote the music and lyrics for the earwormy little song. There is also another 3.25" tall hand-drawn graphite drawing of the Engineer and two layout drawings. One of the layouts features the train yard where the Engineer is "hooking up two boxcars and making 'em run right". The other is an effects drawing of some clouds. Three items are glass front framed to 23.5" x 18". These are all in 12 field 3-peghole format. The drawings show slight tanning and some have edge/corner wear and handling. The cels are in Fine condition.
