    Samurai Jack Illustration by Bill Wray (Cartoon Network, 2006). "Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape-shifting Master of Darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me." This narrative was part of the original opening title sequence of the Samurai Jack series which ran from 2001 to 2004. This is an original gouache painting of Jack on 10" x 15" illustration board. It is signed and dated by the artist Bill Wray who is best known for his contributions to Mad Magazine and The Ren & Stimpy Show. He also is highly regarded amongst the Fine Art community for his landscape paintings. This character has a true cult following and was briefly revived in 2017 for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Minor handling and condition is Very Good.
