Rocky and Bullwinkle/Fractured Fairy Tales Production Background with Publicity Cel Signed by June Foray (Jay Ward, 1960). This special lot includes two important pieces of Jay Ward art that perfectly compliment each other. First, a great pan production background from the Fractured Fairy Tale episode, "The Ugly Duckling," which originally ran on ABC-TV on December 11, 1960. It's a vertical pan measuring approximately 23" x 10", with "Be Famous" and a "Scwabs Swamp" sign (a take-of on the famous Scwabs Drugstore in Hollywood), with portraits of "celebrity" ducks (including one that looks a lot like Donald, in a sailor hat). Placed over this is a color model or publicity cel of Rocky shaking hands with Bullwinkle; this is not an Emporium scene cel. The cel has been magnificently signed by the First Lady of Animation and the voice of Rocket J. Squirrel, Miss June Foray, who has inscribed, "Hokeysmoke, Steve, here's something I hope you'll really like. And thanks for the kind words. Vocally yours, Rocky and June Foray." Wow! This has to be one of the best Jay Ward Studio pieces out there!
