Robot Rabbit/Pests For Guests/Wet Hare Production Cel and Painted Background (Warner Brothers, c. 1953-1962). "Oooh... dat wascaly wabbit is in my carrots again!" says Elmer Fudd in his farm clothes when he sees Bugs Bunny in his carrot patch. He changes into his classic hunting outfit and the chase is on! This is an outstanding hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Elmer Fudd. It can be seen at the 3:01 mark when he pushes the bottom on the Robot Rabbit he plans to use to trick Bugs Bunny. He pushes the button and says, "Oh boy it works!" Great full-figure image of 6". The cel is on a pan production background hand-painted by Irv Wyner. It is from another Elmer short that also starred the Goofy Gophers. This background can be seen in the opening scene of this cartoon after they pan past The Roadside Antique Shop at :40 mark. The background is signed by Irv Wyner. In this short, Elmer will buy the blue chest that the Goofy Gophers will soon take over in his home. Both of these shorts were directed by Friz Freleng, and both shorts backgrounds were done by Irv Wyner. Added to this magnificent setup is a hand-inked, hand-painted production/color model cel of Bugs Bunny with a carrot. This is a classic full-figure image measuring 6". This image is as good as it gets with a Bugs Bunny production cel. It is from the Robert McKimson directed short Wet Hare, released on 6/20/62. You can see this classic Bugs and Carrot image around the 1:43 mark. The two cels and background make up a perfect "Rabbit Season" setup. All three are in a Plexiglas-front frame measuring 42" x 20" with a mat opening of 31" x 9". Frame is sold as-is. Artwork is in Very Good.
