Robert McKimson - Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd Illustration Original Art (Warner Brothers, c. 1939). This is the earliest original by animation legend Robert "Bob" McKimson (1910-1977) that we've seen to date; note the white tips on Bugs Bunny's ears, a short-lived detail that was phased out around 1940. Bugs and Elmer are ready for another round of their usual antics in this great vintage illustration by the great Looney Tunes-Merry Melodies director. The art is in graphite and color pencil on a sheet of trimmed animation paper, measuring 11" x 9.5". Combined image of Bugs and Elmer is approximately 7.25" x 7.5", and the art is hand-signed as "Bob McKimson Hollywood." Condition is Very Good, with minor paper toning and handling wear. From the Jack Kent Collection.
