    Description

Rival Romeos Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Pete Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1928). Unbelievably rare pair of original animation drawings of Disney's Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Pete. This short was released on either 3/5 or 3/19 1928; online accounts differ. In this cartoon, both Oswald and Pete try to go on a date with Ortensia/Sadie. Walt Disney directed this short, while the animation was done by Ub Iwerks. These are trimmed 2-peghole 12 field animation drawings. They were originally pinned up at some point and then appear to have been stored in a two-ring binder. Oswald is a great 3" full-figure pose. You can see this around the 2:11 mark. Pete is a great 3.5" pose. These were originally sold in the early 1990s with the Vintage Ink and Paint sale of the Les Clark Estate. Very rare look into the early days of Walt Disney's career. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
