DescriptionReady, Set, Zoom Production Background with Custom Wile E. Coyote Cel (Warner Brothers, 1955). The desert roads and canyons of the Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote cartoons play as important a part in each film as the characters, and are usually tied-in to each gag situation in some way – especially when Wile E. goes sailing off a cliff to the ground far below (which he does over and over again). Here's an original hand-painted background from the Chuck Jones-directed short Ready, Set, Zoom, showing Wile E.'s bone-strewn mountain lair, painted in gouache by Philip De Guard. You can find it at the beginning of the short, as Wile E. emerges, and his "Latin" name of Famishus-Famishus appears onscreen. A custom hand-inked, hand-painted cel of the Coyote and his title have been added to make this a superb setup for fans of these funny cartoons (and really, who isn't a fan?). The figure size for Wile E. is about 5". The setup is matted with an opening of 12" x 9" and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 22" x 21" x 1". Frame is sold as-is. Art condition is Fine.
