Description

ParaNorman Mitch Downe Original Animation Puppet (LAIKA, 2012). Camera-used, handmade replacement face puppet of Mitch Downe, Neil's 18-year-old brother. Mitch is a school jock and the target of affection from Norman's sister, Courtney. He was voiced by actor Casey Affleck. This is one historic character - in the film's final scenes, Mitch nonchalantly reveals that he is gay. Director Chris Butler said that the character was explicitly connected with the film's message: "If we are saying to anyone that watches this movie, don't judge other people, then we've got to have the strength of our convictions." Amazing art direction on this important character as well. Great body sculpture under a cotton and lycra shirt, and notice "MR. C Butler" printed on the waistband of Mitch's underwear as a sly homage to the film's director. Approximately 15" tall. In Fine condition. From the LAIKA Archives.
