Atom Ant Licensing/Publicity Cel Signed by Howard Morris (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1980s-90s). "Up and at 'em, Atom Ant!" Hanna-Barbera's tiniest hero was featured Saturday mornings on The Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show for two seasons from October 2, 1965 to September 7, 1967, and in reruns for decades afterwards. Here's an amazing original hand-painted licensing cel made for promotional use; we've seen it online with and without logos. Atom Ant was voiced on the series by prolific character actor/director Howard Morris (1919 - 2005); he played Ernest T. Bass on The Andy Griffith Show, one of his many acting credits. He hand-signed this 11" x 17", and he wasn't one known to sign many; when offered for sale, an autographed photo might run you over $200. This is the first cel we've seen his autograph on, and with as many Hanna-Barbera characters he voiced, we're surprised there haven't been more coming our way! The cel image of Atom Ant measures approximately 6.5" from his toes to his pointing finger. The background is a print, and the cel is on a 15" x 20" backing board. The cel is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.Auction Info
