Yogi Bear Sunday Newspaper Comic Strip Original Art by Harvey Eisenberg (Hanna-Barbera/McNaught Syndicate, 1961). After Yogi Bear graduated from the Huckleberry Hound Show to his own show in January, of 1961, a daily and Sunday newspaper comic strip was launched to help promote the series. Harvey Eisenberg (1911 - 1965) was the first artist assigned to these strips. Initially, eight newspapers carried the Yogi Bear strip including the New York Herald. This is the original ink on Bristol board art to an early Sunday strip, dated May 7. Top of the page is marked "The Sleepwalker" #15. Stunning artwork of Yogi, Boo Boo and Ranger Smith. One of the nicest Sunday Yogi pages we have seen. Framed with glass and matted with a mat opening of 28" x 23"; overall frame size is 34.75" x 28.75". Fine condition.
