Ye Olden Days Mickey and Minnie Mouse Drawing (Walt Disney, 1933).
Walt Disney's 1933 short, Ye Olden Days is set in Europe during the Middle Ages. Mickey Mouse, the wandering minstrel, rides in on his donkey whilst strumming on his lute and singing a song. He then arrives at a castle and witnesses the king of Palapazoo declare that his daughter, Princess Minnie, shall marry the prince of Poopapadoo, played by Dippy Dawg. Dippy Dawg would later be re-imagined as a younger character we all know as Goofy. Ye Olden Days was released on 8/8/33 and featured Walt Disney as the voice of Mickey along with Pinto Colvig providing the voice for Dippy Dawg. From this classic short film we have an incredible vintage drawing of Mickey and Minnie which can be seen at the 8:05 mark near the end of the film. The image measures 4" x 2.5". The drawing was rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. This vintage animation art is in Very Good condition.
