Description

Wonderful World of Disney Magazine #4 Page 52-53 Ranger Woodlore's Nature Hikes Illustration Original Art (Gulf Oil Company, 1970). A running feature in this short-lived magazine was "Ranger Woodlore's Nature Hikes" that starred Ranger J. Audubon Woodlore and the Duck nephews... Huey, Louie, and Dewey. In this heartfelt issue, they find a dead bird in the woods and bury it, while learning about things that threaten our bird friends in the wild. The magazine was produced exclusively for Gulf Oil service stations to sell for travelers. The feature may have been reprinted in a Disney Magazine at a later date. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the lines are crisp and sharp on this fantastic gouache painting on illustration board that has an image area of 17.5" x 11.75". There are some pieces of production tape in the margins, otherwise this is a stunning Fine condition piece. Includes proof sheets of the printed pages.
