    Description

Winnie the Pooh Storybook Background Illustration Group of 3 (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). These three original background paintings set the stage for a delightful Christmas party. Vellum overlays with photocopies of the characters are provided (these would give both the artist and the art director a clear idea of where to place the final characters). The three scenes are as follows: The first is of a door decorated with a wreath and (as shown in the overlay) would soon have carolers in the form of Pooh, Rabbit, Piglet, and Tigger. The second is a large Christmas tree, Kanga and Roo delivering presents would be added later. The final image is a large bush in the snow that has been decorated with ornaments. The overlay shows us that Eeyore is fast asleep in front of the bush and that Roo is quietly leaving him a gift-box. Images measure 11" x 7", 8.5" x 11", and 13.5" x 8.5". Fine condition on all.
