Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Droopy and Penguin Storyboard Drawings Group of 3 (Amblin/Disney, 1988). "Going up, sir? Mind your step, sir. Hold on, sir! Your floor, sir! Have a good day sir!" The classic MGM deadpan character Droopy cameos as the elevator operator who gives Eddie one wild elevator ride in this film. He also would make a cameo in the short Rollercoaster Rabbit. Droopy originally was going to be part of the Wolfie/Ink and Paint Club scene with Jessica Rabbit. This is a set of two extremely rare early development storyboards from the hand of artist David Russell. A third storyboard from Mr. Russell was an initial design of the Ink and Paint Club Penguin waiter. He would eventually be replaced by the Mary Poppins Penguins. This Penguin looks similar to future Tim Burton's Batman character, which Mr. Russell would also work with. David Russell has done storyboards and concept artwork for over 80 motion pictures, and some of the most important live-action films of a generation -- Star Wars, Tombstone, Wolverine, Batman, and many other notable films. This is some of the earliest development/story work of this film we have come across! It's in graphite and blue pencil on 11.5" x 8" storyboard paper. Proposed dialogue is under the artwork in each panel. A great trio of original art pieces! Minor handling wear. In Very Good condition.
