DescriptionWhat's Opera, Doc Elmer Fudd Layout Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1957). "Oh, Bwoonhilda, you're so wovely." sings Elmer as Siegfried. "Yes, I know it, I can't help it." replies Bugs Bunny in song, disguised as Brünnhilde. This cartoon is considered to be Chuck Jones' masterpiece. It was released on 7/6/57, and in 1992, it became the first cartoon short to be chosen by The Library of Congress for the National Film Register. Written by Mike Maltese, it also boasted the talents of Chuck Jones' team of Maurice Noble, Phil DeGuard, Ken Harris, Richard Thompson, and Abe Levitow, to mention a few. Mel Blanc provided the voice for Bugs, while Arthur Q. Bryan was Elmer. This is a piece of Looney Tunes and animation history -- an original Chuck Jones layout drawing of Elmer Fudd as Siegfried. This is the moment he first sees Bugs in drag as Brünnhilde, as seen around the 2:54 mark. Detailed Chuck Jones layout drawing in graphite on 12 field animation paper, signed in the bottom right corner. Matted with an opening of 13" x 10", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 19" x 16". Frame is sold as-is. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
