    Description

Water Babies Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1935). Art Babbitt, Dick Huemer, Albert Hurter, and Roy Williams were among the animators that brought this charming fairy tale Silly Symphony short to life, under the direction of Wilfred Jackson. It was first shown in theaters on 5/11/35. Here's an amazing sequence of three original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from this short, showing one of the Water Babies playing rodeo cowboy with a broncin' bullfrog. This is a quick sequence that can be seen in online viewings at the 4:17 mark. Artwork is in graphite with nice red pencil highlights, on pages noted in the bottom right corner as #46 (baby image size 2" x 3" with hat, frog size 5" x 3.5" with dust clouds); #46A (baby and flower hat 2.5" x 2.5", frog and dust 6.25" x 4"); and #47 (combined image 7.5" x 6.5"). This last drawing has a few black inked brush marks on the back, but do not show through on the image itself. Overall condition is Very Good, with minor handling wear.
