Wilfred Jackson directed this fan favorite Silly Symphony short, Water Babies, released on 5/11/35. It proved so popular that a sequel called Merbabies was released in 1938. This is an outstanding pan animation drawing of the Water Babies on the back of the Mother Swan and her babies being transported to land. You can see this image around the 2:46 mark. Graphite with nice red and blue highlights. Paper has been professionally restored and mounted to archival backing paper. Overall piece is 24" x 9.5". 6-C is written in bottom right corner. Amazing detail. Minor handling, Very Good condition.
