    Description

    Virgil Ross - Yosemite Sam and Bugs Bunny Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1990's). Yosemite Sam attempts to keep Bugs Bunny out of Alabama in the 1953 short, Southern Fried Rabbit that inspired this drawing by legendary animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996). During his long tenure with Warners, where he worked with Tex Avery and Bob Clampett in addition to Freleng. Mr. Ross also worked on various Hanna-Barbera TV series like The Flintstones, and on the animated version of Star Trek for Filmation. He was a recipient of the coveted Winsor McCay Award, given to him in 1988. The drawing is rendered in colored pencil on 12 field 3-peghole animation paper and signed by Virgil Ross at the lower right. Condition is Very Good.
