DescriptionVirgil Ross - Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote "Model Sheet" Drawing Original Art (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s).
Beep-Beep the Road Runner (Latin name "Accelleratii Incredibus") and Wile E. Coyote ("Carnivorous Vulgaris") have stopped running around Monument Valley long enough to pose for this 16 field model sheet-style drawing, with three images for each character. This is an original drawing by longtime Warner Brothers animator, Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996). Mr. Ross was known for his action and dance sequences, as well as his ability to draw funny facial expressions. Several of the cartoons he worked on were nominated for Academy Awards, and Mr. Ross himself was given the prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 1988. He spent time at several other studios, most notably Hanna-Barbera and Filmation. Mr. Ross began releasing hand-painted Limited Edition cels of his famous Looney Tunes scenes as part of the "Master's Collection" cels sold at Warner Bros. Studio Stores and animation galleries. This signed piece has image sizes that range from 3" to 7", and is in Fine condition.
