    Virgil Ross - Pepe LePew and Penelope Pussycat Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Of all the great animators produced by Warner Brothers Studios, Virgil Ross (1906 - 1995) is by far one of the best draftsman to survive well into his 80's. This is an awesome one-of-a-king image of the great lover, Pepe LePew and the hapless target of his affection, Penelope. It's an iconic pose that can be seen in one form or another in practically every one of their appearances from 1949 to 1962. It was originally rendered by Mr. Ross in graphite and blue pencil on 12 field 3-peghole animation paper with color added. The image has an overall measurement of 5.5" x 7.5" and is signed in pencil by the artist. Very minor handling and condition is Fine.
