    Virgil Ross - Michigan J. Frog Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). "Hello my honey! Hello my baby! Hello my ragtime gal!" Longtime Warner Brothers animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996) treats us to a fun image of Michigan J. Frog, first seen in the 1955 short, One Froggy Evening. In addition to his work at Warner Brothers, Mr. Ross spent time at the Walter Lantz Studio, Hanna-Barbera, and Filmation. He received the prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 1988. Everyone's favorite singing frog measures 7" x 8.5 on a sheet of 12 field 3-peghole animation paper and is signed by Virgil Ross. The piece shows minor handling; otherwise condition is Very Good.
