Description

    Virgil Ross - Marvin the Martian and Daffy Duck Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Marvin and Daffy square off when both claim Planet X for their own worlds, in this fantastic drawing. It was inspired by the classic 1952 short, Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century. Image sizes are 8" and 7.5" (including each flag and flagpole). It was drawn on 12 field paper and signed by master animator Virgil Ross, who worked in animation for over 50 years, beginning in 1934; in addition to Warner Brothers, where he worked in units headed by Tex Avery, Robert Clampett, and Friz Freleng, he spent time at DePatie-Freleng, Hanna-Barbera, Filmation (working on Star Trek: The Animated Series and many others), and even assisted on several Disney films like The Little Mermaid.
