    Description

Virgil Ross - Foghorn Leghorn, Barnyard Dawg, and Henery Hawk Drawing Original Art (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s).
"Go, I say go away boy, you bother me!" Foghorn is about to also be "bothered" by the Barnyard Dawg, who has just sneaked up behind him with a large mallet, in this original drawing. The art is by long-time WB animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996), known for his action and dance sequences, as well as his knack for drawing funny facial expressions. Several of the cartoons he worked on were nominated for Academy Awards, and Mr. Ross himself was given the prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 1988. He spent time at several other studios, most notably Hanna-Barbera and Filmation. Mr. Ross began releasing hand-painted Limited Edition cels of his famous Looney Tunes scenes as part of the "Master's Collection" cels sold at Warner Bros. Studio Stores and animation galleries. This signed piece is drawn on 12 field animation paper, with image sizes of 5.5", 5.75", and 1.75". Fine condition.
