    Virgil Ross - Daffy Duck Model Sheet Original Art (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s).
    Beautifully rendered images of the irascible Daffy Duck in this model sheet-style drawing by Virgil Ross, showing the evolution of Daffy's design and classic poses. Virgil Ross (1907-1996) worked for Warner Brothers for 30 years. Most of his work was in the Friz Freleng Unit. He won the Winsor McCay Award for Lifetime Achievement in Animation in 1988. He had his own Limited Edition line of hand-painted cels released in the 1990s, and made personal appearances at many Warner Brothers Studio Store Galleries and Animation Art Galleries to promote the line. He also sold new original artwork created from his hand. This artwork is on 16 field 5-peghole animation paper and is done in graphite over blue pencil. There are seven images, ranging in size from 4" - 8". It is signed in the lower right hand aspect. Tiny crease in the lower right hand corner and minor edge wear, otherwise Fine condition.
