    Virgil Ross - Bugs Bunny, Marvin the Martian and Instant Martian Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Bugs vexes Marvin and his "Instant Martian" in this drawing inspired by the 1958 Looney Tunes short, Hareway to the Stars. Animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996) worked on the first official Bugs Bunny cartoon, A Wild Hare in 1940 and animated for Bob Clampett, Tex Avery, and Friz Freleng while at Warner Brothers. Mr. Ross was the recipient of the prestigious Motion Picture Screen Cartoonist Golden Award and the Winsor McCay Award during his long career. This wonderful drawing featuring Bugs and Martians measures 8" x 9.5" on 12 field 3-peghole paper and is signed by Virgil Ross. Original drawings like this were offered at personal appearances as Mr. Ross promoted his line of Limited Edition cels at Warner Brothers stores and licensed galleries. The piece shows light handling and condition is Very Good.
