Virgil Ross - Bugs Bunny, K-9, and Marvin the Martian Drawing Original Art (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). "This makes me very angry, very angry indeed!" Bugs is confronted by Marvin the Martian and his dog K-9, in this superb drawing inspired by the 1948 Chuck Jones-directed cartoon, Haredevil Hare. The art is by long-time animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996). Several of the cartoons he worked on were nominated for Academy Awards, and Mr. Ross himself was given the prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 1988. He spent time at several other studios, most notably Hanna-Barbera and Filmation. Mr. Ross began releasing hand-painted Limited Edition cels of his famous Looney Tunes scenes as part of the "Master's Collection" cels. This signed piece is drawn on 12 field animation paper, with image size of 8" x 10". Fine condition.Auction Info
