    Description

Virgil Ross - Bugs Bunny and Bull Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). "Hey... stop steaming up my tail!" Inspired by the 1953 Chuck Jones-directed short Bully For Bugs. This original drawing is signed by longtime Warner Brothers animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996). Mr. Ross was known for his action and dance sequences, as well as his funny facial expressions. Several of the cartoons he worked on were nominated for Academy Awards, and Mr. Ross himself was given the prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 1988. He spent time at several other studios, most notably Hanna-Barbera and Filmation. His Limited Edition cels and drawings were part of the Warner Brothers Studio Store "Gallery" program in the early 1990s. The image measures 9" x 9.5" on 12 field, 3-peghole paper. The piece shows minor handling; otherwise condition is Very Good.
