    Virgil Ross - Bugs Bunny and Angus MacRory Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Bugs winds up in Scotland after once again missing the left turn at "Albakoiky." Here he tees off with Angus MacRory in this delightful illustration inspired by the 1949 Merrie Melodies short, My Bunny Lies Over the Sea. Animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996) worked on the first official Bugs Bunny cartoon, A Wild Hare in 1940 and animated for Bob Clampett, Tex Avery, and Friz Freleng while at Warner Brothers. Mr. Ross was the recipient of the prestigious Motion Picture Screen Cartoonist Golden Award and the Winsor McCay Award during his long career. This remarkable drawing featuring Bugs and Angus measures 8" x 11" on 12 field 3-peghole paper and is signed by Virgil Ross. Original drawings like this were offered at personal appearances as Mr. Ross promoted his line of Limited Edition cels at Warner Brothers stores and licensed galleries. The piece shows light handling and condition is Very Good.
