DescriptionVintage Animation Drawings Group of 17 (Various Studios, c. 1930s-'40s).
A fascinating grab-bag of early animation drawings, all but four on 12 field 2-peghole paper (the other four are 5-peghole). This is a combination of production drawings with sequence numbers in the lower right, concept drawings, practice pieces, animation roughs, and even one in-studio gag drawing (a wine bottle corkscrew with a face and dress, captioned "I'm just a little bit screwy"). One practice piece shows a bulldog that closely resembles Butch from various MGM shorts, and there are two pages (partially torn away from the image) of Fifer Pig and Fiddler Pig dancing, and the Big Bad Wolf laughing. One drawing has a man that somewhat resembles a young Jack Benny, and there is a sequence of two production drawings of a small kitten. Paper shows some minor toning, with small tears, handling and edge wear, and a few minor stains; overall condition is Fair to Good.
