Vincent Illustration by Tim Burton (Tim Burton, 1982). Tim Burton wrote and directed a 1982 six minute stop-motion short called Vincent. It had a very limited release on 10/1/82. The film was shot in black and white and was narrated by one of Tim Burton's idols, Vincent Price. This would lead Mr. Price to later having a major role in Burton's live-action feature film, Edward Scissorhands. This is an extremely rare piece of story development artwork from the hand of Tim Burton himself. The artwork is in ink on paper, written as Scene 7 in the upper left corner. It has notes on Vincent turning on a light in four steps: 1 - Turns Light On; 2 - Looks at Bats; 3 - After Bats Have Disappeared, Sophisticated; 4 - A Light Effeminate Walk. A note says, "approximately 3 sec. from beginning of walk to block." Four images, each of approximately 4". Matted with an opening of 14" x 11", and framed with glass for an overall size of 19" x 15".
