Description

Victory Vehicles Goofy Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1943). "Let us observe a practical demonstration by a satisfied customer." Capturing a bit of cartoon levity from the Walt Disney studio during World War II, this animation drawing of Goofy comes from the wartime animated short Victory Vehicles. This Jack Kinney-directed short had Goofy demonstrate many hilarious modes of transportation during the wartime rubber shortage and was released to theaters on 7/30/1943. In this drawing Goofy is full figure, detailed, and can be found near the 5:31 timestamp, as he skips along to his garage not to take his car but a pogo stick to work. Rendered with graphite and colored pencil, Goofy measures approximately 3" x 4.5" on a sheet of 12 field 5-peghole animation paper and is numbered 57 in the bottom right corner. This vintage piece of production artwork shows light production handling wear, edge wear, and light age-related toning. In Very Good condition.
