Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust Meier Link and D Animation Drawing (Madhouse, 2000). Witness the climactic final fight between the Vampire Hunter D and the Vampire Noble he was tasked with exterminating, Meier Link, in this spectacular animation drawing from the ravishingly dark anime film Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. This outstanding anime movie is regarded by many as one of the best of its era, directed by the renowned Yoshiaki Kawajiri, known for the cult-classic Ninja Scroll and the thrilling segment of The Animatrix "Program." Meier Link and D are depicted face to face in this remarkable drawing, standing as a great sample of the artistic effort behind each of the frames of this production, created for the picture showing up at approximately the 1:28:40 mark of the film. The dueling characters are rendered with painstaking detail in graphite and colored pencil on the 13.75" x 9.25" animation sheet, numbered A26 and B7 in the top right corner. Small paint spots can be seen on the left area of the drawing; otherwise, the lot shows light handling and edge wear from production and is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
