Description
Uncle Tom's Cabaña Red Hot as Little Eva and Uncle Tom Animation Drawings Group of 2 (MGM, 1947). Rare pairing of animator Preston Blair's classic "Red Hot" dancing girl and the title character from this infamous Tex Avery-directed short; it was banned from television due to ethnic stereotyping, but is available for viewing online. These are original 12 field 3-peghole animation drawings, including a great full-figure image of Red Hot as Little Eva as she listens to Uncle Tom, done in graphite with red and green color pencil highlights; the overall image size is approximately 4.25" x 7.25". The sequence number in the lower right is 17. Uncle Tom is seen smiling, as he hits a boogie-woogie beat on his piano. His image size is approximately 4" x 5.75", matted with an opening of 10" x 8", and an overall mat size of 20" x 16". Condition is Good to Very Good.Auction Info
