Description

Two-Gun Mickey Peg-Leg Pete Wrapped in Cactus Climax Scene Animation Drawings Sequence of 5 (Walt Disney, 1934). The battle has been won, the fair maiden rescued, and she and our hero ride off into the sunset... with bad guy Peg-Leg Pete trussed up inside a big cactus and following, tied up on a rope! Here is a rare five-part sequence of original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from this concluding scene of this Ben Sharpsteen-directed short, long considered one of Mickey Mouse's best. The images come complete with silhouettes of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on the horse up ahead. The drawings are numbered in the upper right corner as 83 (approximate image size for Pete 2.75" x 3.25"; #97 (Pete's size 2" x 2.75"); 107 (with 109 and 108 crossed out; Pete's size is 1.5" x 2.25"); #133 (Pete's size is 1.5" x 1.25"); and #139 (Pete measures .75" x 1.125"). The art is in graphite with red and some green pencil highlights. The art is in Good to Very Good overall condition with some handling wear and mild age-related paper toning.
