Description

Two-Gun Mickey Mickey Mouse and Bad Pete Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). Mickey Mouse and outlaw Pete face off in this incredible 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing from one of Mickey's greatest shorts Two-Gun Mickey. The Ben Sharpsteen-directed short was released on 12/15/1934 and featured animation by future Disney Legends and a few of Disney's influential "Nine Old Men": Art Babbitt, Ollie Johnston, Eric Larson, Hamilton Luske, Fred Moore, Wolfgang Reitherman, and Les Clark. The dramatic short told the story of cowboy Mickey and his valiant rescue of cowgirl Minnie from the worst outlaw in the west and his group of bandits. Incredibly detailed and rendered in graphite with color pencil, the roughly 4.75'' x 5'' animation drawing appears at around 8:26 as Pete and Mickey tussle near a cliff edge, Pete trying to stop Mickey for good with his knife. The drawing is noted 44 in the lower right corner and is in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and minor age-related toning.
