DescriptionTwo-Gun Mickey Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1934).
When Cowgirl Minnie makes a substantial withdrawal from the bank and leaves with a large sack of money, Peg Leg Pete sees her. He gathers his gang of desperados to chase her down, hoping to take the sack of money from her. Cowboy Mickey, who was told by Minnie that she could take care of herself, sees this chase unfolding from his high perch, and rides down to save her. When he gets into a fight with Pete, the outlaw pulls a knife on our hero. We see this depicted in the set of rare original animation drawings offered in this lot. You will find this dramatic sequence of images starting around the 8:23 mark in Walt Disney's 1934 short subject film, Two-Gun Mickey, directed by Ben Sharpsteen and released to theaters on 12/15/34. The drawings were rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper with reinforced pegholes. The drawings are numbered 13A (image size 4.75" x 5.75"), #25 (image 4.5" x 5"), and #58 (overall image size 6.25" x 5"). These are actual working production pieces with very light paper toning and minor handling; condition is Very Good.
